CH2M Barry were appointed as Employer’s Representative by Roscommon County Council in 2011 and have taken the project through the Specimen Design, Tender and Construction Stages leading to the Operational Stage which commenced with the official opening by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny T.D. on 2nd September, 2014. The design, procurement and construction of this 13.5 Km roadway through the rural country side of Roscommon involved interaction with numerous organisations and individuals including landowners, the National Roads Authority, Roscommon County Council, Roscommon National Roads Design Office, Wills Bros Ltd and FTG. The early completion of the scheme is a direct reflection on the positive approach of all of these parties to the resolution of the challenges which inevitably have to be overcome in the development of such a large and complex project.
